The Hearth Series is the approachable end of the shop — edge grain cutting boards built for cooks who want handcrafted quality without the weight and cost of a full end grain board.
The Cabin is the compact size. Twelve by ten inches, 3/4″ thick. Square sides. Enough surface for prep work on a weeknight dinner, small enough to move around the kitchen with one hand.
Edge grain construction uses the side of the board. Still durable, still kind to knives, thinner and lighter than end grain. Each Cabin is cut, glued, and hand-finished from a single species.
Choose your wood
- Walnut — dark chocolate tones, deep grain, quiet presence.
- Cherry — warm amber that deepens with use. Smooths the kitchen.
- Maple — bright, clean, disappears into the counter. The classic.
