We stand behind every board we build. If something isn’t right, here’s how it works.
30-Day Returns on Stock Items
You have 30 days from delivery to return any stock item — anything listed in the Shop and ready to ship. To qualify:
- The board must be unused and in original condition.
- Original packaging is required.
- Proof of purchase (your order number is enough).
Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility. We recommend a tracked service through Canada Post — small parcels can get lost in transit.
Once we receive and inspect the return, we’ll process the refund to your original payment method within 5 business days. Stripe and Affirm refunds typically post within another 2-3 days after that.
Custom and Commissioned Pieces — Final Sale
Custom orders, commissioned work, and pieces built to your spec are final sale. Once we cut, glue, and finish hardwood to your requirements, we can’t restock or resell it. This includes:
- Personalized engraving, branding, or inlay work
- Custom dimensions outside our standard product range
- Wood species swaps from the stock listing
- Anything ordered through the Custom & Commercial page
If something goes wrong with a custom order — wrong size, wrong species, finish defect — get in touch within 14 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.
Damage in Transit
If your order arrives damaged, take a photo of the package and the board before unwrapping anything else, and email it to us within 48 hours of delivery. We file a claim with the shipper and replace or refund.

How to Start a Return
Email us at info@northernprairiewoodworks.ca with your order number and the reason for the return. We’ll send return instructions and a shipping address.
