Description
A food-safe blend of oils and waxes for wooden cutting boards, butcher blocks, charcuterie planks, and serving boards. Made in small batches in Manitoba.
Wood dries. It darkens unevenly, absorbs water faster, loses the smooth hand-feel that made it worth buying. A monthly conditioning brings it back.
Board Butter is mineral oil, MCT oil, and camelina oil to deep-condition the fibres — then beeswax and carnauba wax to seal a clean protective layer on the surface. Vitamin E to keep it stable on the shelf. Unscented. Food safe. Nothing in it that doesn’t belong on a board you cut food on.
How to apply
- Wash the board, dry it fully.
- Apply a generous coat with a lint-free cloth.
- Let it absorb 4 to 6 hours.
- Buff off the excess.
For a board in regular use, reapply when the wood starts to look dry — usually monthly. The first conditioning takes the most; once the board’s been butter’d a few times, it drinks less.
