Description
The Frontier Series is the shop’s everyday workhorse. The Relief Edition is what happens when a board earns a second carve — a deeper underside chamfer for easier handling, and a considered detail set into the top.
This XXL is cut from acacia — an exceptionally hard, dense hardwood that takes a blade cleanly and deepens with age. The maple inlay across the surface reads Faith • Hope • Love. Cut, set flush, finished in line with the rest of the board.
End grain construction means the vertical wood fibres absorb the knife rather than resisting it. The blade stays sharper. The board takes years of daily use without scarring.
At 1.5 inches thick, this qualifies as a proper end grain butcher block — the kind of surface a serious kitchen builds around. Heavy enough to sit where you put it, glued up from hardwood for the long run, and built to be resurfaced a decade from now if it ever needs it.
